Nissan GT-R NISMO recently scored consecutive race wins in the SUPER GT 2021 Series GT500 class, with car #23 MOTUL AUTECH and car #12 CALSONIC IMPUL teams scoring their first victory in Suzuka and Sugo, Japan respectively.
Nissan GT-R NISMO car #23 MOTUL AUTECH driven by Tsugio Matsuda, produced an electrifying drive and made a race-winning overtake on fellow Nissan GT-R NISMO car #3 CRAFTSPORTS MOTUL on lap 41 out of 52 in the Suzuka race. Car #24 Realize Corporation ADVAN, also by Nissan GT-R NISMO, finished third to make it an all Nissan GT-R NISMO podium in Suzuka. Car #23 MOTUL AUTECH team was driven by Ronnie Quintarelli and Tsugio Matsuda, while car #3 CRAFTSPORTS MOTUL with drivers Kohei Hirate and Katsumasa Chiyo. Car #24 Realize Corporation ADVAN was paired by Mitsunori Takaboshi and Daiki Sasaki.
Sportsland Sugo circuit witnessed the Nissan GT-R NISMO car #12 CALSONIC IMPUL pair Kazuki Hiramine and Nobuharu Matsushita clinched their first win in five years, and secured a consecutive win for Nissan this season. IMPUL founder and team principle Mr Kazuyoshi Hoshino said, “I feel more relieved than happy, it’s been really hard. Up to now, we didn’t get the results and I ‘fired’ myself many times. It feels like I was barely able to survive. I’m really relieved and from now, I will fight with all my strength.”

YOKOHAMA, Japan (September 2, 2021) – Nissan e.dams is excited to announce Maximilian Guenther as its new Nissan e.dams Formula E racing driver. Guenther will partner with Sebastien Buemi from season eight of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
The German racer has shown incredible pace in the all-electric Formula E racing series with three victories and a second place podium. This follows success in junior categories; he became runner-up in the FIA Formula 3 Championship scoring 10 race wins. He then moved up into FIA Formula 2 taking a race victory and a podium. Guenther started his rookie season in Formula E in 2018.
Guenther said: “It makes me feel very proud to become part of the Nissan e.dams family. The team has big ambitions in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and I’m full of motivation to contribute to the success of this project. To compete for one of the biggest car manufacturers in the world is an honor and a great new step in my career. I’m looking forward to this exciting journey.”
Nissan looks forward to season eight (2021/2022), its fourth season in Formula E, to continue to shape and implement its performance, technology and activities for the series.

Apart from giving out donations traditionally as part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, ETCM is increasingly taking an active approach to enhance public wellbeing by providing opportunities for employees to be directly engaged with these efforts.
In our shared fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, ETCM employees recently contributed RM5,000 to two local charitable organizations namely Koperasi Yaqin (KOYAQIN) and Persatuan Penduduk Blok A (PERSADA), in support of their efforts to provide food security for individuals and families living in Rawang who faced sudden hardship due to the crisis.
Additionally, ETCM supplemented the employees’ efforts by loaning two units of Nissan Navara pick-up trucks as transportation support for the charitable organizations and ETCM employees for distribution of supplies.

Only vaccinated employees including post-vaccine incubation period are allowed to resume work in Nissan showrooms. All employees will be wearing face mask, undergo frequent body temperature check, and regular disinfecting will be carried out at the showrooms including display and test drive vehicles.
Customers are also advised to comply with SOPs when entering the premise; ensure full vaccination including post-vaccine incubation period, provide proof of digital certificate on MySejahtera, body temperature below 37.5°C and wear face mask. Other SOPs set by the Government remains active.

Standard on all three Nissan Almera Turbo variants are the Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (IFCW) and Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking (IFEB) systems. The Intelligent Forward Collision Warning monitors vehicle distance and speed between 5km/h to 80km/h, and alerts driver when the vehicle is too close to a vehicle ahead or a risk from frontal collision by flashing a warning with audible alert on the 7-inch Advance Drive Assist Display (ADAD). If the driver does not take any action, the Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking system will indicate an emergency stop sign and automatically engage the brakes to help avoid a frontal collision or lessen the severity of an impact. The vehicle will remain at a standstill for approximately 2 seconds before the brakes are released.

Other safety technologies available on the all-new Nissan Almera Turbo are the Blind Spot Warning (BSW) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) systems. At a driving speed approximately 32km/h and above, the Blind Spot Warning system helps keep an eye on blind spot areas at approximately 3 meters x 3 meters via radar sensors at the rear bumper, and alerts the driver of other vehicles in adjacent lanes when changing lanes. If the radar sensors detect a vehicle in the detection zone or blind spot area when the turn signal is activated, the system will chime twice and warning indicators on the ADAD and the side mirror surface will illuminate.
Additionally, the Rear Cross Traffic Alert system operates while the vehicle is reversing at speed less than 8km/h. The same rear radar sensors help to detect an approaching vehicle below 30km/h driving speed and warn the driver with an audible alert and indicator on the side mirror surface where the vehicle is approaching from.
The highly appreciated Intelligent Around View Monitor (IAVM) with Intelligent Moving Object Detection (IMOD) system that is featured on the Nissan X-Trail, Serena S-Hybrid and Navara, is now available on the all-new Nissan Almera Turbo too. KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 4, 2020) – Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) has announced that the All-New Nissan Almera Turbo is now open for booking.
The All-New Nissan Almera Turbo comes with an all-new 1.0 litre turbo engine paired with next generation XTRONIC CVT with D-Step Logic System and Sport mode delivering greater torque (152Nm) and remarkable fuel efficiency of 18.4km/L (NEDC R101) – equivalent to 650km driving range on a full tank (35L).
The all-new 1.0 litre turbo engine also features a number of technical innovations. Drivers will feel the instant acceleration thanks to the electronic waste gate that improved the turbo compression by opening and closing the waste gate valve more efficiently thus reducing turbo lag. The engine comes with Mirror Bore Coating Technology adapted from the legendary Nissan GT-R, which helps to reduce friction between the piston ring and inner cylinder that contributes to increase durability, reduce wear & tear and heat management, making every drive economical and environmentally mindful.
Apart from the innovative turbo engine, the All-New Nissan Almera Turbo comes with Nissan Intelligent Mobility and NissanSafety Shield 360 advanced safety technologies to enhance driving confidence. Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (IFCW) and Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking (IFEB) are standard across all 3 variants while the top variant adds on Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Intelligent Around View Monitor (I-AVM) with Moving Object Detection (I-MOD)
The new exterior design features the signature V-motion front grille and boomerang-shaped LED headlamps that flows across the front end to a sleek, low profile floating roof and signature rear LED tail-lamps creates an aerodynamic and cutting-edge presence, the All-New Nissan Almera Turbo is described as an energetic, provocative and confident sedan.
The new exterior design also features longer, wider and lower dimensions while retaining the roomy interior space that Almera has always been appreciated for. Overall, it is 70mm longer, 45mm wider and 40mm lower compared to the first generation Almera, and made the All-New Nissan Almera Turbo look like the size of a C-sedan but sportier. Even the wheelbase has been lengthened by 20mm.
On the inside, the latest ‘Gliding Wing’ instrument panel surrounded by touches of chrome, piano black and carbon-fibre pattern textures contributed to the premium interior ambience while a sporty flat bottom steering wheel,soft padded double stitching leather wrap dashboard, 8” advance touchscreen display audio and full colour 7” semi digital meter completes the package.
The generous trunk space of 482L (VDA) is able to fit in 4 golf bags and now comes with lower and wider opening for easier access. Especially for the Malaysia market, standard on all variants of the All-New Nissan Almera Turbo are foldable 60:40 split back seats in case you need more cargo space or to carry extra-long items.
The top 2 variants of the All-New Nissan Almera Turbo comes equipped with 6 SRS Airbags (2 Airbags on the standard variant). Other safety features include Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Child Seat Retainer with Top Tether (ISOFIX x2) on all variants.
